STORM WATER POLLUTION
PREVENTION PLAN (SWPPP)

Rick Engineering Company prepares SWPPPs for projects we are in the process of designing and engineering, as well as those projects where we are not the engineer of record. We thoroughly evaluate your project with regards to current storm water regulations to prepare a SWPPP that is site-specific, using the applicable Federal, State or Regional Board Storm Water Permit.

Our SWPPP services include preparation of the Notice of Intent (NOI) and site vicinity map for processing with the State Water Resources Control Board. We prepare Change of Information (COI) forms if a portion of your project has been sold. We routinely prepare SWPPP Amendments/Revisions and respond to municipal plancheck comments.

On-site SWPPP training is included with all of our SWPPPs.

PREPARATION OF WQTRs / WQMPs / SWMPs

Rick Engineering Company provides a variety of services related to Water Quality Technical Reports (WQTRs), Water Quality Management Plans (WQMPs), and Storm Water Management Plans (SWMPs) to meet a project post-construction BMP requirements. We are knowledgeable in the San Diego, Riverside County and Sacramento municipal requirements, and have a qualified staff with extensive experience in preparing these reports.

We assist our clients in selecting and sizing post-construction BMPs as well as assisting in the filing of applicable Agreements.

PREPARATION OF SPILL PREVENTION CONTROL AND COUNTERMEASURE PLANS (SPCCPs)

Rick Engineering Company's Water Resources Division prepares Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plans (SPCCPs) that identified storage sites and handling procedures for oil and hazardous substances at County of San Diego airport facilities. The SPCCP describes the facility layout and design, equipment, and procedures intended to prevent these substances from being spilled and, in particular, from reaching navigable waters. It also outlines emergency response procedures in case of a spill. The Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plans were prepared pursuant to Federal, State and local regulations.
