Rick Engineering Company provided site master planning, design development and preparation of construction documents for the Pacific Beacon Project. The site

This was achieved by designing tree-lined streets with areas for seating, courtyards adjacent to the buildings, and a large sunken open lawn area surrounded by the three buildings.
Design Features included roof-top pool and spa, urban streetscape, fountains, tropical garden, zen garden, courtyards, amphitheater, picnic/B.B.Q. area, outdoor fireplace, fire pits, sunken open lawn area, water feature, running track, baseball courts and volleyball courts.
The American Public Works Association (APWA) awarded Rick Engineering Company, the United States Navy, and Clark Builders Group a Project of the Year award for Pacific Beacon, September 2009.
