Project Description
RICK provided civil engineering and landscape architecture design services for the renovation and rebranding of the former Four Points Sheraton at the southeast corner of Campbell Avenue and Speedway Boulevard, within the City of Tucson. The new Aloft Hotel includes 161 guest rooms with a total square footage of 82,375.
Renovation efforts included the addition of a ground-level swimming pool and building area expansion to maximize the allowable floor area ratio within the Tucson C-3 zone. The new building also reaches the maximum allowable building height of 75 feet. In addition to surface and underground, RICK also worked with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation to obtain approval for improvements within the future right-of-way along Speedway Boulevard.
