Project Description
Since 2003, RICK has served as California Baptist University’s on-call civil engineer and provides planning and engineering services for civil, traffic, stormwater, survey, and community revitalization projects at California Baptist University’s 75-acre property in Riverside, California.

The longstanding relationship with our client has given RICK the opportunity to complete various services, such as the following:
- Preparation of Project Conditional Use Permit documents
- Preparation of campus wide Master Plan documents
- Upgrades to the campus-wide sewer, water, and storm drain infrastructure (correction of drainage issues) in support of Master Plan projects
- A unique detention basin feature to mitigate downstream flooding and a reduction of the offsite flow rate into the City’s overburdened storm drain facilities
- Circulation studies, design of connectivity paths from housing to the main campus
- Planning and engineering documents for a 5-story, 600-bed student housing building, and an adjacent 632-space parking structure
- Planning and engineering documents for the 2-story, 95,000-square foot University Center, a multi-use structure of faculty offices, student services, classrooms and cafeteria facility
- Planning and engineering documents for the 2-story, 48,000-square foot Music Building consisting of faculty offices, classrooms, practice studios, and recording studio and soundstage
- Planning and engineering documents for a 16-unit, modular student housing complex
- Planning and engineering documents for a facility cooling tower including design and coordination of chilled-water infrastructure from the existing facilities plant building
- Design of a 7.5-acre parking lot including a 700-parking space (constructed in two phases)
- Due diligence services and ALTA surveys for property acquisitions
- Preparation of a campus and neighboring property aerial topographic survey
