The Charolais Corridor Multipurpose Trail and Restoration project is a half-mile, multipurpose trail that provided a means of connectivity for five miles of contiguous trails for the Salinas River Corridor and the east side of Paso Robles. As part of the Environmental Enhancement Mitigation Program (EEMP) grant, RICK designed interpretive signage to inform and educate the public on the project’s goals for environmental enhancement and stewardship. Additionally, the project provided wayfinding signage to give the community a route to more easily access the Salinas River Corridor Trails.
With improved restoration of an urban drainage channel and improving water quality of urban run-off as it enters the Salinas River through hydromodification techniques, the project offered an environmental restoration demonstration site that brought greater awareness of watershed and ecological functions to the community.
