The Cimarron Rose Community Center was built in the late 1990s, and is located at the southwest corner of W. Ann Road and N. Cimarron Road within the City of Las Vegas. The site also serves as a community park and has several amenities catering to all ages. Moving forward, the success of the City’s programs requires additional building space for children’s activities and functionality. A building addition is proposed, which impacts the existing building footprint, landscape features, and on-site drainage patterns.
The facility additions include a small courtyard and covered breezeway that connects to the new building addition, which will primarily serve as a gymnastics training room. Large existing specimen trees are also being relocated to accommodate the addition, as well as to provide shade for the new courtyard. Site drainage is being accommodated by a series of swales, berms, and block wall openings with minimal impacts to the surrounding improvements.
