The Cimarron Rose Community Center was built in the late 1990’s, and is located at the southwest corner of W. Ann Road and N. Cimarron Road within the City of Las Vegas. The site also serves as a community park and has several amenities that cater to all ages. Moving forward, the success of the City’s programs requires additional building space for children activities and functionality. A building addition is proposed that impacts the existing building footprint, landscape features, and onsite drainage patterns.
The facility additions include a small courtyard and covered breezeway that connects to the new building addition which will primarily serve as a gymnastics training room. Large existing specimen trees are also being relocated to accommodate the addition as well as to provide shade for the new courtyard. Site drainage is being accommodated by a series of swales, berms and block wall openings with minimal impacts to the surrounding improvements.
