Project Description
RICK is partnering with Brightview Landscape Services on park project called Discovery Park in Aurora, CO. This park will complement the 4,000-acre Aurora Highlands subdivision that is under construction. The thoughtfully designed open spaces and parks of the area connect communities and people to each other and to the land they call home. Discovery Park will serve as a flagship amenity that will quickly become one of the most exciting and imaginative parks in all of Aurora, providing a broader vision for livability, walkability, and joy in everyday life.
Our team provided aerial drone topographic mapping before park construction began to determine existing grades and site conditions. Brightview reviewed the topographic map and determined areas that needed additional grading and excavation. RICK Surveying also supplied proposed finished grade stakes for berms, swales, and rough grading throughout the site. Once the site excavation and grading had been completed, we began to provide construction stakes for new sidewalks, playground border walls, slides, sports courts, caissons for large retaining/climbing walls, light poles, storm sewer, sanitary sewer. Currently, the team is providing construction staking for all the infrastructure in Discovery Park. RICK will continue to follow the superintendent’s construction schedule closely to ensure that this project is completed on schedule.
