Project Description
The DJJS Eastside Probation Center is located at the northwest corner of S. Pecos Road and E. Harmon Avenue. Existing site conditions warrant reconstruction of the current ADA accessibility route from the public right-of-way to each of the existing buildings. Said design required fine-grading tolerances in connecting the proposed ADA routes while concurrently ensuring that all on-site drainage patterns were not impacted from that of the existing condition. The existing handicap ramps at all intersections and ingress/egress points were brought to code by the addition of truncated domes and appropriate striping where necessary. A detailed site investigation and slope analysis was performed on site prior to distinguishing the design impacts and sidewalk removal limits.
