Project Description
Moonraker Millhouse is a project that includes a brewery, tap room, restaurant, events area, and onsite parking with Tesla EV charging stations on a 3.3-acre (+/-) site. The site was heavily wooded with oak trees, and RICK’s site design needed to consider selective removal and preservation of these trees. Our team provided preliminary engineering for design review approval by El Dorado County and El Dorado Irrigation District (EID), along with on-site and off-site improvement plans that provided for a culvert crossing of a major drainage course through the property, in addition to separate detention and water quality basins. The challenging aspect of this project was providing a crossing for the natural drainage flow through the site while also capturing and treating the runoff separately from the developed portion of the property.
This project provided another needed social and entertaining gathering place in El Dorado County, and it enabled the client to expanded its market from Placer County to El Dorado County.
