RICK provided services for the preparation of grading, drainage, and utility plans for a new community room at the Phoenix Art Museum. Contract scope required a topographic/utilities survey of the existing building, design of retention and parking within project boundary, and the redesign of drainage to relocate the existing retention basin and provide underground retention for additional runoff.
Existing storm drains had to be relocated, as well as underground utilities around the new building addition. New wet utility services had to be provided. The project had several challenges with existing drainage and underground utilities. Close coordination with City staff on the project scope and budget was required.
