RICK is nearing completion of providing services for the preparation of grading, drainage, and utility plans for new community room at the Phoenix Art Museum. Contract scope required a topographic/utilities survey of existing building, design of retention and parking within project boundary; the redesign of drainage to relocate existing retention basin and provide underground retention for additional runoff.
Existing storm drains had to be relocated, as well as underground utilities around new building addition. New wet utility services had to be provided. The project had several challenges with existing drainage and underground utilities. Close coordination with City staff on project scope and budget was required.
