Rancho Del Rey is a 1,600-acre master-planned development with 4,000 homes in north Chula Vista. Three separate Sectional Planning Areas include a 100-acre commercial and business center and a 15-acre park with appurtenances. Major infrastructure design included improvements to the regional wastewater system with a 1.5-mile extension of trunk sewer line that required a stabilization plan for Rice Canyon. The project also required hydrologic analysis of a 1,300-acre offsite watershed.
