Rancho Penasquitos is 6,500-acre master-planned community with 15,500 homes in 7 neighborhoods in north San Diego. The development included schools, parks, and a large area of open space preservation. A key design component included the hydrology and hydraulics associated with Peñasquitos Creek, which required a streambed alteration plan. CLOMR and LOMR processing was also performed for the development, as floodplain re-mapping was necessary.
