RICK employees, alongside healthcare and community leaders, continue to celebrate the opening of Scripps Proton Therapy Center and the recent technological advances available to treat cancer. The 102,000-square-foot Scripps Proton Therapy Center is a state-of-the-art, modern cancer treatment center that will bring the most comprehensive range of radiation therapy options to Southern California.
RICK provided civil engineering, landscape architecture, mapping, and construction staking services for San Diego’s first, and only proton therapy center. In fact, the Scripps Proton Center is the 15th proton facility nationwide and the 4th proton facility west of the Rockies! RICK was honored to prepare an ALTA survey, topographic mapping, entitlements, preliminary and final site grading and utility design, drainage/bio retention facility design, a water quality technical report, landscape schematic design, landscape construction drawings, agency processing, construction support, and construction staking for the 102,000-square-foot, 2-story proton center that can treat up to 2,400 patients annually.
