Partnering with Davis Architects and in support of a restaurant move and remodel, RICK scanned the existing interior space and exterior patio area located at the northwestern corner of El Pedregal Festival Marketplace, collectively totaling approximately 10,000 square feet. A 3D Revit model was created for the architect and owner to test the new space with new design and restaurant branding concepts.
RICK’s ‘Reality Portal’ was published with 360-degree measurable photos , enabling “virtual field walks” for the entire project team. The portal allowed multiple stakeholders to access the site virtually from anywhere in the world and from the comfort of their own offices, allowing them to make decisions by virtually visiting the site to save time and money.
The project’s architects were able to show the client multiple configurations for their restaurant in a digital representation to make design decisions prior to manufacturing and/or moving equipment and furniture, and restaurant owners were able to make design decisions in a timely manner to minimize or eliminate disruption of restaurant activities for the local community.
