The University of Arizona Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium, with an average draw of 50,000+ spectators per season, is one of the premier venues in college softball. RICK served as the prime civil engineering consultant for facility renovations during Phase 1 and Phase 2 of this project. Phase 1 included construction of the 6,700-square foot Lapan Family Center, a state-of-the-art locker and team room, new batting cages, and additional hardscape and infrastructure enhancements. Phase 2 included a stadium-wide renovation, replacing and expanding the existing grandstand with new shaded back and bench seating, enclosed press box, club seating section, Alumni Plaza, along with an enhanced main entrance, ticket office, restrooms and concessions. Additionally, Phase 2 refurbished softball bullpens and dugouts. Lastly, RICK provided enhanced curb, sidewalk, and drainage improvements to 2nd Street and Warren Avenue.
